1. The biggest highlight of the Galaxy On8 is that it brings a tall 6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display. Samsung's Infinity Display that was once seen on flagship Galaxy S and Galaxy Note phones are slowly trickling down to the affordable segment. The display promises sharp and vibrant colours along with an immersive viewing experience thanks to narrow bezels and a tall 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

2. The other big USP of the Galaxy On8 is its dual rear camera setup. Dual cameras have become a staple feature in smart phones and Samsung has typically delivered impressive optics, especially on its high-end flagships. The Galaxy On8 should impress consumers as well thanks to a wide f/1.7 aperture that will allow for brighter photos, especially in low-light conditions. The 16MP front camera also promises some crispy and detailed selfies.

3. The dual cameras also get a Live Focus feature that allows you to play with the blur effect and adjust the intensity of background blur. You can also change the blur settings after taking a picture. Additionally, Samsung also brings features like Portrait Dolly that delivers a moving GIF image with zoom movements in the background.

4. The Galaxy On8 comes with a couple of 'Make for India' features as well such as Chat over Video and Samsung Mall. The former allows you to video chat and text at the same time while the later is an AI-based feature that lets you shop by clicking a picture of the object and finding relevant information on e-commerce platforms.

The Galaxy On8 is priced at Rs 16,990 and will be available online via Flipkart and Samsung's e-store starting August 6.
